In Vedic tradition, serving the cow — Gaumata — is considered one of the most meritorious acts a human being can perform. The Mahabharata declares that cows contain all the holy rivers, all the gods, and the entire cosmos within them.
Whether you visit for one hour, volunteer every week, or send a monthly contribution — every act of seva is equal in the eyes of the divine.
Ancient scriptures promise that Gau Seva removes sin, fulfils wishes, and brings peace to departed ancestors.
Unlike many charities, your seva at our gaushala is direct — you touch, feed, and care for the cows yourself if you visit.
Join thousands of families who have made Gau Seva a weekly family ritual — bringing children, elders, and friends.
There is no single way to serve Gaumata. Here are six meaningful paths — each one sacred, each one powerful in its own right.
Join our brahmins every morning at 5:30 AM for Gau Puja and Aarti. Light a diya, offer flowers, and receive Gaumata's ashirwad for the day.
Daily, 5:30 AM
Bring green fodder, roti, jaggery, or seasonal fruits from home and offer them directly to our Gaumatas — the most beloved form of seva.
Anytime, 6 AM – 6 PM
Sponsor medicines, surgical procedures, and veterinary care for injured or critically ill Gaumatas — a direct lifesaving act of seva.
24×7 need
Help with cleaning, grooming, bathing cows, managing shed operations, or assisting the vet team. A deeply personal and purifying experience.
Weekends welcomeHelp cultivate our 8-acre organic fodder farm — sowing, watering, harvesting. A beautiful way to connect with the land and Gaumata both.
Seasonal sevaBring your company team for a group seva day. We organise guided tours, feeding sessions, and Gau Puja for corporate groups and families.
Pre-booking requiredFrom sunrise to sunset, here is what a volunteer seva day looks like at Ratan Ekta Trust Gaushala — a deeply moving, deeply rewarding experience.
Volunteers arrive at sunrise for the morning puja. Bells ring, incense fills the air, and Gaumata is welcomed into the new day with flowers, tilak, and traditional aarti. A moment of pure peace.
Volunteers help distribute the morning meal — fresh green fodder, soaked dal-khal, and clean water to all 500+ cows. The joy on a cow's face as she eats from your hands is indescribable.
Cows are bathed, brushed, and given full grooming care. Volunteers learn to clean hooves, apply herbal oils, and check for signs of illness — bonding deeply with each animal in their care.
Accompany our veterinary team on their daily rounds. Help administer medicines, assist with wound dressing, and comfort cows during treatment. Medical volunteers are especially welcome.
As the day ends, volunteers gather again for the evening Sandhya Aarti. Cows are settled in for the night with roti and gur. The session closes with a collective prayer for all Gaumatas of the world.
Our 200+ volunteers come from all walks of life — students, professionals, homemakers, retirees. What unites them is a single belief: that Gaumata deserves love, and that love transforms the giver as much as the receiver.
Volunteering at our gaushala requires no special skills — only willingness, an open heart, and a love for animals. We provide training, meals, and a family you'll never want to leave.
Come for one hour, one day, or every week — we welcome all schedules.
No experience needed — we train you in feeding, grooming, and cow care.
Receive an official Seva Certificate after completing 10 volunteer sessions.
Families, schools, and companies can book group seva days — we organise everything.
"Volunteering here every Sunday has changed my life. My children look forward to it more than anything else. The peace you feel after seva is beyond words."
Running a 24-hour gaushala for 500+ cows requires constant support. Your contribution funds feeding, medical care, volunteer training, shed maintenance, and the daily seva that keeps our Gaumatas safe and loved.
Whether you give ₹101 or ₹1,00,000 — every rupee goes directly to Gau Seva. No admin overhead. Pure, sacred dedication.
